San Antonio- North San Antonio’s restaurant scene is about to welcome another new dining option.

Oja Sushi Hibachi & Robata is preparing to open at the Shops at Stone Oak and Stone Ridge Market, adding a fresh Japanese concept to one of the area’s busiest retail and restaurant destinations. Construction crews continue to put the finishing touches on the restaurant, and activity inside the kitchen suggests the opening could be just around the corner.

The new restaurant will specialize in three popular styles of Japanese cuisine. Guests can expect a menu featuring handcrafted sushi, hibachi favorites cooked on a traditional flat-top grill, and robata—an authentic Japanese cooking technique in which meats, seafood and vegetables are slowly grilled over hot charcoal, creating a distinctive smoky flavor.

While the owners have not yet announced an official grand opening date or released a full menu, anticipation is already building among Stone Oak residents eager for another upscale dining option. Representatives for the restaurant have remained tight-lipped about the concept, but the location appears to be in its final stages of preparation.

Oja joins a rapidly expanding lineup of restaurants in the Stone Oak area, which has recently welcomed MilkShake Factory, Katerina Restaurant & Bar, and several other new concepts as the neighborhood continues to establish itself as one of San Antonio’s premier dining destinations.

Located near U.S. 281 and Loop 1604, the Shops at Stone Oak has become a popular destination for families, professionals and shoppers looking for a variety of dining experiences. The addition of Oja Sushi Hibachi & Robata further strengthens the area’s reputation as one of the city’s fastest-growing restaurant corridors.

For North Side food lovers, another reason to make dinner plans may be arriving very soon.
